Mr. Gaulin was born on March 4, 1933, he attended grade school at Our Lady of the Assumption school in Millbury, and graduated from the Electrical Shop at Boys Trade in Worcester. Sometime after graduation, Ness (as he was known by his friends), proudly served his country in the Army while stationed in West Germany during 1953 & 54. Several Millbury residents including Nestor's cousin and good friend Roland Gaulin enlisted at the same time and were stationed together in Europe. Upon his return from the service, Nestor worked for several area electrical contractors, and Whitin Machine Works before accepting a temporary summer position in the electrical department at General Motors in Framingham. The "temp position" turned into a 38 year career.
Nestor loved spending holidays and attending cookouts with his family, helping a friend or family member in need, pampering his granddaughter, and most recently playing with his grand-dog "Toots". Also greatly enjoyed were his annual hunting trips in Vermont with the "Thursday Night Crew". In 1991 Nestor, family, and friends built a "camp" on the island of Vinalhaven, Maine. At the camp, he and Eleanor enjoyed spending summers with family, friends from the island, and friends visiting from back home.
Nestor was proud to be a member of the United Auto Workers L.U. No.422, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3329, Millbury Franco American Club, and enjoyed visiting with friends at the annual Millbury Old Timers Dinner.
