Nicole Ritchie

MILLBURY – Nicole Marie (Barney) Ritchie, 39, passed away on Wednesday, March 2nd in UMASS Medical Center, after being stricken ill.

Nicole leaves two children, Daemynd Farmer and Callie Ritchie; her mother, Karen Ann Barney; her father, Dwayne “Red” Barney of Worcester; stepfather, Mark Strom of Millbury; her fiancé, Michael Charlette of Millbury; a brother, Keith Lavalley and his fiancé, Ashley Mallas and a sister, Rachel Sanuik; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Nicole graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech and was a Licenced Practical Nurse.  She loved her job and enjoyed working at Care One of Millbury, Sunrise Detox and Life Care Center of Auburn.

She was born in Worcester and lived most of her life in Millbury.  Nicole was raising her children along with her fiancé, Mike in Millbury.  She was a kind, caring and a loving person, who dedicated her life to helping others.  Even in death she helped others with her organ donation, giving the key of her life to those who had been locked out.

Nicole will always be remembered for her contagious smile.  She loved going to the beach, collecting sea shells and a good seafood meal.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Nicole’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Saturday, March 12th from 1 to 4 p.m. on at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Her funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
