MILLBURY - Nolia I. (Chagnon) Lavergne, 96, formerly of 95 Elm St., died July 29th in Millbury HealthCare Center.
Her husband, Maurice R. Lavergne died in 1983. She leaves four daughters, Irene C. wife of Robert Mansfield and M. Clarice Lemay all of Millbury, Denise wife of Joseph Rzewuski of Florida and Cecile, wife of John Chenis of North Grafton; three sons, Norman Lavergne and his wife, Rebecca of Sutton, Jean Lavergne of Charlton and Gilbert Lavergne and his wife, Elizabeth of Holden; a sister, Florida Proulx of Rhode Island; a brother-in-law, Gerald Lavergne of Upton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. She was born in Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Emile and Palmana (Desautels) Chagnon. Mrs. Lavergne was a long time member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 4th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St., Millbury. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3rd, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag St., P.O. Box 4, Auburn, MA 01501. The family wishes to acknowledge their gratitude for the excellence of care given to their mother by Dr. Robert Bessette.
