CAPE COD / MILLBURY Norma S. (Smith) Korch, 80, of Mashpee, formerly of Railroad Ave. in Millbury, died Monday, Aug. 8th in Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis.
Her husband, Ronald E.N. Korch died in 2001. She leaves three daughters, Karen Schudy of Placerville, California, Marilyn P. Bowser of Charlton and Lauren N. Boffoli of Mashpee, with whom she lived; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Skowhegan, Maine daughter of Ralph Smith and Daphne (Hewitt) Smith Lunceford and lived in Millbury for many years, before moving to the Cape 3 years ago.
Mrs. Korch was an administrative assistant for Agway, in Rutland. She was a member and past president of the Millbury WomanTM)s Club, a member of the WomenTM)s Auxiliary of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post in Millbury and was a safety advisor for the AARP, Worcester Chapter. She also ran for a seat on the Millbury Board of Selectman, years ago. She enjoyed reading, needle point and her grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Rt. 122A, Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10th, in the funeral home.
