MILLBURY Norman A. Burns, 83, of 17 Elm Court, died peacefully, Friday, May 26th in his home, after an illness.
His wife of 55 years, Clara I. (Hairyes) Burns, died in 1999. He leaves a daughter, Carol A. Breault of Millbury and a son, Richard A. Burns of Charlton; a brother, Robert S. Burns of Milbury; five grandchildren, Julie wife of Peter Balkus, Keith LaCrosse and his wife Vicki, Rebecca Burns, Matthew Burns and Tanya Breault; four great-grandchildren, Victoria, Brittany and Brian Balkus and Erika LaCrosse; a former daughter-in-law, Cristine Burns; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, and is predeceased by his parents, John F. and Mabel (Rivers) Burns, two sisters, Florence Beauchamp and Lucille Burns and a brother, Chester Burns.
Mr. Burns worked in home building construction and then at IBA Inc. in Millbury, retiring in 1990. He was an Army veteran during WW II serving in the American Theater. He enjoyed camping with his wife and family. We will always love you, BamBam.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 30th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday May 29th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
