Norman T. O'Loughlin, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 17th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
His wife of 42 years, Carol M. (Pajala) O'Loughlin died in 1999. He leaves two daughters, Karen Swenson and her husband, Karl of Millbury and Kim Sabourin and her husband, David of Holden, with whom Norman lived; a son, William O'Loughlin of Douglas; four grandsons, Eric Swenson and his wife, Kaitlin, Brian Swenson, Andrew Sabourin and his fiancé, Kathryn Allard and Jeffrey Sabourin; a sister, Carol Scanlon; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Olga (Johnson) O'Loughlin and a son, Thomas O'Loughlin.
Norman worked for many years in the wire industry. He worked for New England High Carbon, Johnson Steel and Wire, and Astro Wire and Cable. In his retirement, he worked as a driver for Dario Diesel. He was a long time Boston sports fan, and loved watching every Boston Red Sox game on television.
A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20th followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. all in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
