Patricia Cooney

Patricia A. (Herbst) Cooney, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27th surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia's husband, Edward J. Cooney, Sr. passed away in 2005. She leaves three sons, Edward J. Cooney and his wife, Carol, Joseph J. Cooney and his wife, Nicole all of Millbury and Peter J. Cooney of Grafton; two daughters, Patricia M. Para and her husband, Dale of North Oxford and Marie L. Robertson and her husband, Brian of Perry Hill, MD; several grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Quinn of CT and a brother, Richard Herbst of Worcester; several nieces and nephews.

Pat was raised in Worcester and was a school teacher in Millbury and Worcester for many years. She was a member of the Millbury Women's Club and Millbury Council on Aging. Pat was a former reporter for the Millbury Sutton Chronicle and was the first lady lector for the Diocese of Worcester.

Pat's calling hours will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.

Her funeral service will be held following the calling hours at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, Millbury. Her burial will be in Central Cemetery.
