Patricia J. Gemme

MILLBURY – Patricia J. (Lindsay) Gemme, 96, daughter of the late Winfred J. and Margaret M. (Jacques) Lindsay, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 25th with her loving family by her side. 

Patricia’s husband of 50 years, Arthur J. Gemme passed away in 1998. She leaves her younger brother, Richard J. Lindsay of North Brookfield, and her sister-in-law, Kathy Lindsay of Connecticut; Patricia’s two children, Ronald A. Gemme of Millbury and Cynthia A. Mancini of Marlborough; two grandchildren, Andrea Asa and her husband, Brian and Daniel Mancini and his wife, Kate; four great grandchildren, Kensington, Braelyn, McKenna and Adilynn as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was once a member of the St. Brigid Women’s Club and she was also a Christian Doctrine Teacher and overseer of the CCD program. She also participated in many children’s organizations, including the Campfire Girls, Cub Scouts and she chaperoned trips for the Millbury Girls Fife Drum and Bugle Corps. Patricia was an avid knitter and enjoyed reading many novels. She also enjoyed working in her husband’s large garden and went to Worcester Trade School in the evenings to become accomplished in sewing. She also worked for a time in the Elmwood Street School cafeteria. 

Family and friends are invited to remember Patricia’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 4th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her funeral Mass will be held the same day at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow at St. Brigid Cemetery, Millbury.
