Paul Burrows

October 31, 1944 — December 30, 2008

SUTTON – Paul K. Burrows, 64, died Tuesday, Dec. 30th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 40 years, Marcia A. Norbeck; a son, Lorin P. Burrows and his wife Mary and grandchildren Benjamin and Amelia of Princeton; nephews Mykael and Matthew and a niece Erin. He also leaves his much loved in-laws, Charles and Virginia Norbeck and Jim and Janet Cassidy. He was born in Westfield and is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Isabel (Saucier) Burrows, two sisters, Olive and Louise and two brothers, Manual and Raymond.

Paul was a Senior Mechanic at United Parcel Service in Shrewsbury for 32 years, retiring five years ago. He was a Vietnam War veteran, a 40 year member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post 414 and a member of the NRA.

Raised on a farm in Sutton and an avid farmer all his life, Paul's first priority every spring was planting his garden. He proudly participated in the Water's Farm Days each year. He was involved with antique tractor clubs throughout the New England area and exhibited his unique tractor collection at meetings of the I. H. Collectors of New England, The Cranberry Flywheelers, and the Old Iron Tractor Club.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2nd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to USO of New England, Building # 8, 2nd-Deck 427, Commercial Street, Boston, Ma. 02109.
