WORCESTER – Paul A. Forsberg, 87, formerly of Millbury, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 13th, surrounded by his family.
Paul’s wife, Carolyn (Rock) Forsberg predeceased him in 2004. He leaves a son and his best friend, Gary Forsberg and his wife, Rebecca (Kirby) Forsberg of Rochdale; loving granddaughters Kristen Forsberg of Rochdale and Lindsay Forsberg of Waltham; a niece Cindy Allard and her husband Arthur Allard of Sutton and their daughter Brittani Keown; and a brother-in-law Peter Foisy of Sutton. Paul was also a surrogate grandfather to Amanda Couture and a surrogate great-grandfather to Zachary and CJ Couture.
Paul worked at the former New England High Carbon Wire Company until their closing. He then was a deli manager at the former Iandoli Supermarkets. After retirement, he spent several years driving for JFK transportation in Natick.
Paul loved spending time with his family the most. Every Tuesday and Friday, he had coffee with his brother-in-law, Peter Foisy. Every Sunday, Paul attended family lunches with Joseph and Celeste Couture and he was always up for a pontoon boat ride before having dessert. He especially loved snuggling with his grand-puppies and grand-kitties and watching Zachary and CJ who always filled him with joy and made him laugh. Paul always kept everyone laughing with his habit of speaking his mind and his great sense of humor. He also enjoyed playing the slots at Mohegan Sun. On his final outing, he hit the jackpot on the dollar slot machines for $6,500!
The family would like to thank the VNA Care Hospice team for all of their compassion in his final weeks, as well as his longtime primary care physician, Dr. Platt.
Per Paul’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Care, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester MA 01608.
