Paul John Grabauskas, 85, died May 9th at his home in Millbury after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Marie (Chamberlain) Grabauskas; five sons Paul and his wife, Doreen of Brimfield, Gary and his wife, Cheryl of East Falmouth, Jeffrey and his wife, Anne of Holden, Michael of Worcester and Thomas of Santa Monica, CA; four grandchildren, Scott and his wife, Betty, Sean, Jonathan and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Kira; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is the son of the late Frank and Mary (Morkunas) Grabauskas and brother of the late Joseph and Francis Grabauskas.
Born in Worcester and after marrying his wife, Jean, moved to Brockton until 1966 when they moved to Millbury. Graduated from Classical High School in Worcester and Worcester School of Business Science. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr Grabauskas worked at David Clark, the Watertown Arsenal and as a machinist at US Steel in Worcester and Wyman Gordon in Grafton from where he retired in 1992. He was a member of the Lithuanian War Veterans Organization, the Greendale's Men's Club, Maronis Park and the Knights of Lithuania.
Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and loved sailing. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, welding, construction and repairing anything that needed to be fixed.
Paul's calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 14th with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow at St. Philip's Cemetery in Grafton.
