MILLBURY - Paul L. Hackett, 100, of 11 Pond Terrace, died Monday, March 24th in Radius Health Care Center of Millbury.
He leaves his wife of 71 years, Eva S. (Helie) Hackett; two sons, Robert P. Hackett and his wife Josephine S. of Sutton and Richard L. Hackett of Millbury; a grandson, Michael J. Hackett of Sutton; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Gertrude (Flynn) Hackett and infant son, William, a grandson, James Hackett and many brothers and sisters.
Mr. Hackett was an office manger for George L. Brownell Inc. in Worcester for over 30 years. He then worked for the Wyman-Gordon Co. in Grafton before he retired at age 65. He lived a wonderful life and was a loving husband and father.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27th in St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be private in St. Brigid's Cemetery in Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund of St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527. Mulhane Home for Funerals, Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
