WORCESTER – Pauline M. (Benoit) Parzych, 87, died on Friday, Dec. 4th at the Millbury Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Her husband, Vincent J. Parzych died in 1980. Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Rose-Marie Bernard and her husband Lawrence of Southbridge and Lucille Maguire and her husband Ralph (Mike) of Millbury; a sister, Jeanne Benoit of Canada; a sister-in-law, Lucille Benoit of Canada; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Blanche (Guertin) Benoit, a sister, Doris Benoit, S.S.A. and a brother, Edward Benoit.
Pauline graduated from St. Anne's Academy in Marlboro and Becker Junior College in Worcester. She was a long time employee of the former Paul Revere Insurance Company. Pauline enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making many afghans for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and liked doing crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very active in her parish, St. Joseph's Church, in Worcester and served on various Committees. Pauline was also involved with fund raisers for the Native Americans in Alaska. Her faith in God sustained her through life.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 10th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph's Church, 35 Hamilton St. in Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Abby's House, 52 High St., Worcester, MA 01609 or a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
