Pauline Quist

May 15, 1930 — July 29, 2002

SHREWSBURY- Pauline K. (Gribouski) Quist, 72, of 72 Lakeside Dr., died Monday, July 29, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 49 years, Richard W. Quist; two sons, Richard W. Quist Jr. and Paul V. Quist both of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Sonja A. Quist of Shrewsbury and Tracy J. Pauk of Oxford; two brothers, Vincent Gribauskas of Grafton and Joseph Gribouski of Holden; a sister, Anna Desmarais of Worcester; a granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was born in Sutton, daughter of Michael P. and Monica M. (Batulavich) Gribouski and lived in Sutton, Worcester and Shrewsbury. She is predeceaed by a sister, Alice Pecevich. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1948 and then from New Hampshire College.

Mrs. Quist was a director of social services for Great Brook Valley Health Center in Worcester for many years. She recently was an elder care social worker at the Senior Center in Shrewsbury.

She was a former member of St. BrigidTM)s Church in Millbury.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 1, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St., Millbury Burial will be in Central Cemtery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
