MILLBURY Peter M. McDonough, 69, of 50 Miles St., died Thursday, Feb. 26th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 43 years, Patricia (McGrath) McDonough; four children, Peter M. McDonough Jr. and his wife Debra of Keswick, Virginia, Mary-Ellen and her husband Stanley F Wilczynski of Bourne, Thomas E. McDonough of Boston and Kevin P. McDonough of Worcester; his mother, Mary (Murphy) McDonough of Spencer; three sisters, Patricia Bergan and Ellen Donahue both of Shrewsbury and Ann McDonough of Spencer; a grandchild, Daniel S. Wilczynski of Bourne. He was born in Spencer son of the late Edward R. and Mildred (Palmer) McDonough and has lived in Millbury for 41 years. He graduated form David-Proudy High School in Spencer and then from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy New York.

Mr. McDonough was an engineer for several companies including U.S. Steel in Worcester. He was Vice President of operations at B.S.C.C. Wire & Cable, in Leominster for 10 years and he retired last year as Vice President of Engineering from Comtram Company, in Whitinsville.

He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and the Wire & Cable Clubs of America Industrial Engineering Society. He formerly served on the Millbury Parks Commission when they started the summer basketball league and the Fourth of July road race. He coached youth soccer and baseball teams in Millbury. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 1st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29th, in the funeral home.
