SUTTON – Philip "Ben" E. Adams, 50, died Monday, Oct. 26th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Ben leaves his wife, Pamela (Bingham) Adams; a daughter, Victoria P. Adams at home; his mother, Helene (O'Hara) Adams of Brewster, four brothers, Michael of Hanover, New Hampshire, Theodore and his wife Angela of Andover, Connecticut, Gerald and his wife Marguerite of Springfield, and James of Westfield; three sisters, Rosemary Adams of Westfield, Nora Adams of London, England, and Molly Morin and her husband John of Hamilton, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Gerald Adams and by his sister Bridget Adams.
He was born in Springfield. He graduated from Holy Cross College and received his Masters Degree at Clark University, both in Worcester. He was a vice president at Fidelity Investments in Personal and Workplace Investing Technology for 13 years. Prior to that, he was an information technology professional at Paul Revere Insurance for many years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Unibank in Northbridge.
The family wishes to extend its sincerest appreciation to the staff at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and UMassMemorial Medical Center for their compassionate care.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., and burial will be in Howard Cemetery, both in Sutton.
