SUTTON - Philip J. Theodore, 86, of 50 Uxbridge Rd., died Tuesday, March 19, in Providence House Nursing Home, Millbury.
He leaves his wife, Lenore C. (Brombley) Theodore; four daughters, Phyllis Hodgney of Worcester, Patricia Petka of South Grafton, Paula Smith of Dudley,
and Lorraine Theodore of Sutton; a son Philip Theodore Jr. of Worcester; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Boston, son of Norman and Ida (Messier) Theodore and has lived in Sutton for 47 years. He attended Worcester Public Schools.
Mr. Theodore worked at American Steel and Wire Company in Worcester for 25 years. He then worked for the U. S. Postal Service in Worcester, retiring in 1975. He was an Army veteran during WW II serving in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theaters and received the Bronze Star.
He was a member of St. MarkTM)s Church. He was a past commander and a life member of the South Works Veteran of Foreign Wars Post, a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter # 4, all in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 22 from Mulhane Home for Funerals, (

), 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Marks Church, 356 Boston Rd.. Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester.
