MILLBURY – Philippe “Phil” Henry Gibeault Sr, 87 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 13, 2024.
Philippe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy A. Gibeault; his daughter, Ramona Haskins and husband, Douglas of Oxford; his son, Philippe H. Gibeault Jr and his wife, Marion of Millbury; his grandchildren, Douglas Haskins Jr and his wife Brittany of Oxford, David Haskins of Oxford, Emily Gibeault of Southbridge, Hailey Gibeault of Millbury, Nicholas French of Millbury, Jamison Gorrie of Millbury and Cassidy Gorrie of Millbury. He was also survived by his 2 stepsons William and Larry Radford and their families.
Phil was born in Millbury the son of the late Ovila and Orpha Gibeault, he is survived by two of his five siblings, Michael Gibeault of Connecticut, and Priscilla Lavoie of California and many nieces and nephews.
After graduation from Assumption Preparatory School Phil joined the United States Marine Corp, where he played in the Marine Corp Band. He also served 32 years as a member of the Millbury Lions Club and was an avid musician before becoming a father. Phil also served on Engine 5 of Millbury Fire Department.
Phil was also a man of faith and was a devoted member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Millbury. He loved his family and loved to go camping and traveling enjoyed dancing and just being with his family. Phil worked as a warehouse foreman until he retired in December 2009. He then enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren and his great granddaughter Kerith.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Phil’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, Dec. 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 21st at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 10 Waters Street, Millbury. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to church. Burial will be private.
