MILLBURY – AT3 (AW/SW) Phillip J. Puzo, 26, died Monday Oct. 5th from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Holden.
He leaves his parents, Raymond M. and Maria E. (Lessard) Puzo and one sister, Becky E. Puzo all of Millbury; his paternal grandmother, Mary (Volker) Puzo of Worcester; a nephew, Caleb A. Briggs, of Millbury, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Bernard & Maria (Gasper) Lessard, and his paternal grandfather, Carmine Puzo. He attended Blackstone Valley Technical High School in Upton and graduated from Millbury High School.
He was born in Worcester and lived in Millbury until he joined the Navy. Phillip was assigned on board the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). He volunteered for individual augmentation assignment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom.
His funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 12th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11th in the funeral home.
