MILLBURY - Phillip R. Stansbury, 78, of 17 Alpine St., died Thursday, June 5, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Barbara M. (Mains) Stansbury; a son, Scott P. Stansbury of Millbury; two daughters, Pamela J. Stansbury of Ithaca, N.Y. and Wendy A. Stansbury-OTM)Donnell of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Grace Holmes of Holden and Mildred Rejko of Northbridge; a grandson; nephews and nieces. He was born in Johnson City, New York, son of Norman P. And Bessie I. (Ingerbritson) Stansbury and has lived in Millbury since 1946.
Mr. Stansbury was a tool & die maker at New England High Carbon Wire Co. for 35 years. He then worked at Allied Metal Products now in Auburn for 10 years, retiring in 1990. He was An Army veteran during WW II serving with the military police.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 148 Main St., Millbury, Ma. 01527. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., (
