SUTTON Phyllis M. (Marsh) Carlson, 84, of 29 Singletary Ave., died peacefully Sunday, June 25th. .
Her husband of 64 years, Charles J. Carlson died in 2003. She leaves a son, Charles Mark Carlson of Sutton; a grandson Charles M. Carlson of Auburn; a great-granddaughter. She was born in Oxford, daughter of George S. and Ethel (Gibson) Marsh and has lived here most of her life. She is predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Carlson was secretary at Sutton High School for many years, before she retired.
She was honored by the schoolTM)s National Honor Society, receiving a plaque stating, "Your are never to busy to answer anyoneTM)s request with a smile", thatTM)s the way she lived her life calm, gentle, and respected by all who knew her. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Sutton.
Memorial calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. A Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. following the calling hours, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donorTM)s choice.
