SUTTON Phyllis M. (Christian) Crosby, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 17th in the Beaumont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge.
Her husband, William B. Crosby died in 2002. She leaves four sons, Richard W. Crosby of Sutton, Bruce F. Crosby of Boston, James Crosby of Merrimack, NH and Brian J. Crosby of Millbury; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Francis Christian of Grafton; nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Crosby worked for several banks in the Worcester area, before she retired to Florida. She served as Sunday School Superintendant for the First Congregational Church in Sutton and was a former tax collector for the town of Sutton
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21st in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd. on the Common in Sutton. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Building Fund of the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590. Mulhane Home for Funeral, in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
