Pinellas Park, Fla. - Ralph E. Ludvigson, 76, of 93091 5th St., formerly of Sycamore Circle in Millbury, Ma. and also formerly of Conway St. in Worcester, Ma., died Sunday, May 20, in Morton Hospital, Clearwater.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Helen C. (Rutkiewicz) Ludvigson; three sons, Raymond R. Ludvigson of Millbury, Ma., Paul E. Ludvigson of Leominster, Ma. and Mark A. Ludvigson of Lompoc, California; a sister, Marion Lysiak of Worcester, Ma.; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, Ma. son of Gustaf and Agnes (Werner) Ludvigson and moved to Florida in 1985. He attended Worcester Schools.
Mr. Ludvigson was a machinist at Heald Machine Co. in Worcester, Ma, now Cinncinatti Milacrom, for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a BoatswainTM)s Mate second class in the U.S. Navy during WW II, serving during the invasion of Normandy.
He was a former member of St. BrigidTM)s Church in Millbury, Ma.
A military funeral will be held Friday, May 25, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, Ma., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, Ma.. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury, Ma. A calling hour will be 9:30 to 10:30 Friday, May 25, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Massachusetts Affiliate, Inc., 20 Speen Street, Framingham, Mass. 01701-4688 or to the American Lung Association of Central Mass.
