Raymond E. Dame, 93, passed away surrounded by his loving family in his home on Sunday, Jan. 7th.

Ray’s wife, Barbara Lois (Bigelow) Dame passed away in 1999.  He leaves three daughters, Brenda A. Graham and her husband, Rich of Charlton, Linda M. White of Millbury and Debra Fjellman of Millbury; three grandchildren, Nicholas Graham, Jason Graham and Jenna Dame; a brother, William Robert Dame of Vermont; a sister, Irene Dolegiewicz of Sutton.

Ray was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Europe during in WW II.  He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.  Ray loved gardening, hunting, fishing, playing cards and going for rides in his car.  He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and jokes.  Ray worked for United Tool in Millbury until his retirement at the age of 89.

The family would like to thank Laura’s Guardian Angels for Ray’s care over the past year.

Family and friends will honor Ray’s life by gathering for calling hours from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.

His funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
