Raymond Carlson

October 29, 1930 — August 26, 2013

Raymond H. Carlson, 82, died Monday, Aug. 26th in his home, after being stricken ill.

His wife, Lorraine O. (Hill) Blake Carlson died in 2007. He leaves two sisters, Phyllis Chase of Worcester and Gail Usher of Auburn; a brother, Robert Carlson of West Boylston; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Arthur J. and Myrtle N. (Peterson) Carlson, a brother Harold Carlson and two sisters, Evelyn Lorusso and Dorothy Mae Pachanian.

Raymond worked for the former Anderson Corp. in Worcester for 35 years. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War. Raymond was a member of the VFW Post 3657 in Worcester and the Worcester Surf Casting Club in Bourne. He enjoyed fishing, all sports among which was football and spending the summers at the Cape Cod Canal.

His graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29th in Central Cemetery, West & Waters St. in Millbury.

There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
