MILLBURY/WEST ROXBURY - Raymond J. Couture, 54, of West Roxbury, formerly of Millbury, died on Sunday, Oct. 18th at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a long illness.
Ray was the beloved husband of Anne D. (Hersom) Couture, son of Roland O. and Dorothy M. (Corey) Couture, and brother of Pamela (Couture) Perkins. He also leaves his brother-in-law David Perkins, his sister-in-laws Jean M. (Hersom) and her husband Jon Thompson, Jacqueline (Hersom) and her husband Richard Wood, Patricia E. (Hersom) and her husband Jon LeClaire. He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his birth mother, Dorothy M. (Croteau) Couture.
Ray was a data analyst at the Dept. of Youth Services for the Commonwealth of Mass for 15 years. He was an avid reader, loved cooking, gardening and traveling.
Calling hours are 5 to 8p.m. Friday, Oct. 23rd at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24th at St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Hospital School (
