MILLBURY Raymond J. OTM)Leary, 83, of 48 Auburn Rd., died Tuesday, Nov. 16th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.
His wife, Carol A. (Gearin) OTM)Leary died in April. He leaves five children, Karen A. McGrath of Rochdale, Donna M. Boulay of Shrewsbury, Michael D. OTM)Leary of Millbury, Timothy A. OTM)Leary of Millbury and Mary Kate OTM)Leary of Oviedo, Fl.; two brothers, Paul J. OTM)Leary of Manchester, Vermont and Daniel J. OTM)Leary of Worcester; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. He is predeceased by a son, Thomas R. OTM)Leary. He was born in Worcester, son of Daniel J. OTM)Leary and Jessica F. Polachi.
Mr. OTM)Leary was a dedicated police officer for the city of Worcester for 33 years, retiring in 1986. He was a Marine veteran during WW II serving on the USS Texas. He was an avid horseman.
Mr. OTM)LearyTM)s funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 20th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19th, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Father FlanaganTM)s Girls and Boystown of Central Florida, in care of PapaTM)s Place, 37 Alafaya Woods Blvd., Oviedo, FL 32765.
