MILLBURY - Raymond T. Roach, 90, of 10 Washington St., died Thursday, Jan. 23, in St. Vincent Hospital, At the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Statia C. (Wojnar) Roach; three daughters, Kathleen I. Ohlson and Barbara Roach-Kyes both of Worcester and Mary A. Pierce of Auburn; a son Raymond T. Roach Jr. of Milton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. He was born in Millbury, son of Edward F. and Isabel (Graham) Roach and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Millbury High School in 1931.
Mr. Roach was a foreman at the Felters Company where he worked for 42 years, retiring in 1975. He was an Army Air Corp veteran during WW II
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and a member of its former Mens Club. He was honored as MillburyTM)s Old Timer at the Old Timers Banquet in 1994. He was inducted into the Millbury Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. He was a member of the Millbury Planning Board, the Millbury Finance Committee, the Millbury Conservation Committee and the Town Hall Building Committee.
He was a founder of the Millbury Little League and the Millbury Pee Wee Basketball League and was a coach and umpire for the Millbury Little League
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., (

) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in St. Brigids Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday Jan. 27, in the funeral home.
