Richard E. Cross

MILLBURY - Richard E. Cross, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Richard is predeceased by his wife, Penny (Pawlowski) Cross. He is also predeceased by his parents, Elliott and Marcella (Briddon) Cross.  He leaves his three daughters, Debra Cross of Tonopah, AZ, Pamela Higginbottom and her husband Mark of Millbury, MA, Donna Schleis and her husband Ron of Tonopah, AZ, and a son, Richard E. Cross Jr. and his wife Carin of Sutton, MA. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Eddie, Chad, Staci, David, Amy, Stephanie, Kyle, and Bryan; seven great grandchildren, Dylan, Nathan, Sarah, John, Joshua, Tommy, and Alexis, and a niece, Christine.

Richard worked as a machinist for many years. He enjoyed camping, coaching little league baseball, and being a horse show dad in his younger years. He loved country music, going to modified racing, watching NASCAR on TV, and watching sports with the guys. He loved riding his Harley Davidson V-Rod and traveled to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Most of all, he loved going out to lunch and dinner with family.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Richard’s life by gathering for his graveside service on Saturday, August 26^th at 10 a.m. in Central Cemetery, West Street in Millbury.
