SUTTON, MA - Richard P. Laydon, 72, died Sunday, March 21st in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
He leaves his loving wife, Judith A. (Plante) Laydon; two sons, Joseph Laydon of Whitinsville, MA and Jonathon Laydon of Irvine, CA; a daughter, Christine Laydon of Bloomfield, NJ; three grandchildren, Emma, Maya and Nora; a brother, Harold Laydon of Fulton, MO; nephews and nieces. He was born in New Haven, CT, and is predeceased by his parents, Bertrand and Marjorie (Shaw) Laydon and a brother, Bertrand Laydon.
Mr. Laydon was a teacher for 36 years at Blackstone Millville Regional High School in Blackstone, MA retiring three years ago.
His funeral will be held Thursday, March 25th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, MA with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 356 Boston Rd. in Sutton, MA. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton, MA. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24th in the funeral home.
