Richard Prue

June 28, 1927 — August 9, 2002

MILLBURY - Richard E. 'Skip' Prue, 75, of 8 Orchard St., died Friday, Aug. 9, in Providence House Nursing Home.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Leone E. (Budreau) Prue; a daughter, Jeannine A. Silun of Auburn; two sons, Jeffrey A. Prue of Worcester and Mark E. Prue of Sutton; a sister, Claire A. Hehir of Hudson, Ohio; a brother, Kenneth A. Prue of Wells, Maine; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Ernest and Irene (Lanciault) Prue and has live in Millbury most of his life. He graduated form Grafton High School.

Mr. Prue was a designer for Massachusetts Electric Company, in Worcester, where he worked for 42 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Sewerage Commission for 20 years. He was a Seaman 1st Class in the U. S. Coast Guards during WW II, serving in the Southwest Pacific and the Philippine Liberation.

He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and the Charles F. Minney Post Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be private in St. Brigids Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 12, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. JudeTM)s Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
