Richard Robbins

SUTTON – Richard T. Robbins, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 17th in Millbury Health Care Center.

He leaves his wife, Barbara M. (Goyette) Robbins; two sons, Clay T. Robbins of Sutton, and Glenn P. Robbins and his wife, Alice of Clovis, California; four daughters, Dale V. Robbins of Boston, Lynn M. Robbins of Framingham, Tracy E. Robbins of Oxford and Mary C. Whittier and her husband Wayne of Sutton; three grandchildren. He was born in Oxford and is predeceased by his parents, Frank L. and Margaret (O'Brien) Robbins.

Richard was a master mechanic and worked as service manager at Laidlaw School Bus Co. and Ryder Truck Co. He served with the Army Engineers and was stationed in Germany, during the Korean War. He was involved in the Boy Scouts and served as a District Commissioner and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for his service in scouting. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Ireland.

A private graveside service will be held in St. Roch's Cemetery, in Oxford. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
