Richmond O. Black, 87, died Friday June 8, 2012 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Arlene S. (Stinchfield) Black; a son, William D. Black and his fiancé, Angela D. Rubin of Millbury; two grandchildren, Jasmine E. Black of Grafton and Dwaine Rouchleau of Cape Cod; two sisters, Mary Palmer and Beatrice Wurzburger both of CA; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Leon and Viola (Briggs) Black; a son, Kenneth O. Black; a grandson, William Rouchleau; four brothers, James, Leon, Alexander Black; three sisters, Margaret, Nellie and Lila.
Richmond served in the Marine Corp during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Area. He was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Corporal. He loved old cars especially his 1922 Buick Phairton Convertible. Richmond enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 13th at 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will follow the service at West Sutton Cemetery in Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12th in the funeral home.
