MILLBURY Rita M. (Gendron) Gemme, 87, of Worcester Providence Turnpike, died Thursday, Feb. 22nd in her home, after an illness.
Her husband, Roland J. Gemme died in 1999. She leaves three sons, David O. Gemme of Millbury, Paul E. Gemme of North Carolina and Carl J. Gemme of Millbury; three daughters, Cora A. Reardon of Millbury, Louise G. Johnson of Webster and Phyllis M. Emmett of Port Charlotte, FL; 15 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury, daughter of Edward A. and Cora (White) Gendron.
Mrs. Gemme was a Licensed Practical Nurse at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus and also at the former Fairlawn Hospital both in Worcester, before she retired.
Her funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 26th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, prior to the funeral, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Network, Inc.
