WORCESTER Rita H. Giard, 91, formerly of 244 Belmont St., died Monday, Sept. 10th in the Christopher House, Worcester.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alfred and Effie (Lomme) Giard. Rita retired in 1980 after working for 30 years at the Grafton State Hospital. She was also a long time volunteer at Hahnemann Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, St. Francis Home of Worcester and the Mass. Association for the Blind Bowling League. Rita was a member of Notre Dame / St. JosephTM)s Church in Worcester.
A chapel service for Rita will be held on Monday, Sept 17th at 1:15 p.m. in the chapel at Notre Dame Cemetery, 152 Webster St., Worcester. There are no calling hours. A Mass in her name will be held on Monday, Sept 24th at 12:15 p.m. in Notre Dame Church, at Worcester Commons, Worcester. Mulhane Home for Funerals, Millbury is in charge of the arrangements.
