SUTTON – Rita L. Shaw, 56, died Saturday, April 3rd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
She leaves a brother, James H. Northcutt of Arkansas; two aunts, Gladys L. Stewart of Sutton and Irene L. Tiegen of California; five cousins, among which is Margaret R. Robbins and her husband, Dennis of Sutton; two second cousins, Hannah and Dennis, who called her aunt Rita. She was born in Minnesota and is predeceased by her parents, Carroll Northcutt and Evelyn (Gwinnearth) Northcutt Shaw and her step-father, Elliott Shaw.
Rita worked on the family farm in Sutton for many years and she had also worked at Data General in Westborough. Her hobbies were photography and scuba diving.
Her funeral service will be held at11 a.m. Thursday, April 8th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., on the common in Sutton. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590.
