Rita (Gagliardi) Shea, 72, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012.
Rita is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Robert E. Shea, Jr. who died in May of this year. She leaves two sisters, Mary wife of William Wood of Millbury and Rosemarie wife of Richard De Gaetano of Sutton. She also leaves very special people in her life, that she helped care for and was loved by; Sean Corey of Shrewsbury; Donna (Corey) Silver and her children, Corey and Adam all of Millbury; Joanne (Baroni) Christie and her children, Steven and Brian all of Sutton; Matthew and Ryan Gagliardi of Millbury and many cousins. She is also predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Jean (Bisceglia) Gagliardi.
Rita worked for many years as a caregiver of the elderly in area nursing homes and privately as well. For the last several years she was a loving volunteer at the Puckihuddle Preschool in Sutton.
There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury at the convenience of the family.
