Robert A. Beausoleil, died Saturday March 12, 2016 after suffering a heart attack.
He leaves his beloved wife of 64 years, Ann M. (Guertin) Beausoleil; a son, Robbie and Tiffany Beausoleil of Worcester, MA; son, Rick and Cindy Beausoleil of Whitefield, ME; seven grandchildren: Summer Willis; Amanda Healy, Michael and Travis Beausoleil; Melissa, Christopher and Brendan Beausoleil; six great-grandchildren: Maya; Anthony; Hailey and Abigail, Mersadies and William. He was pre-deceased by a son, Jim Beausoleil, in 2012. He also leaves two brothers: Paul and Rachel Beausoleil of Woonsocket, RI; Andre and Sandra Beausoleil of Sanford ME; three sisters: Irene Frigon of Manville, RI, Gisele LaChance of Clarendon VT, and Lucille Jacques of Blackstone, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He adored his family and treasured every moment he had with them, especially his special bond with Brendan.
Bob was born and raised in Woonsocket, RI; son of Lucien and RoseAmie (Bisson) Beausoleil. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy in RI before enlisting into the United States Air Force where he served four years as S/Sgt.
He was a longtime resident of Millbury, MA where he was director of the Millbury Emergency Management Agency, retiring five years ago. He enjoyed many hobbies including: 30 years as a HAM Radio Operator, known as KA1OTQ, Millbury Auxiliary Police Officer, Millbury Police Department Crossing Guard, Sutton Chain of Lights Communications Coordinator, Square Dance Caller, and maintained a lifetime passion of photography and camping. He also kept an interest in electronics and genealogy, and enjoyed writing his Facebook Blog "Off the Beaten Path," keeping the people of Millbury updated with news and announcements.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10a.m. in St. Mark's Parish, 356 Boston Road, Sutton, MA. There are no calling hours. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church.
Burial with Military Honors will follow his Service in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, South Bellingham, MA.
