MILLBURY Robert F. Benoit, 78, of 28A West Main St., died Monday, Oct. 29th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
His wife, Jean Ann (Malo) Saucier Benoit died Oct. 9, 2007. He leaves a son, Wayne R. Benoit and his wife, Patricia of Spencer; two grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Benoit; a step-daughter, Susan M. Saucier of Millbury; a step-son, Stephen Saucier of Douglas; a step-grandson, Cory D. Saucier of Douglas. He was born in Spencer, son of Alton and Dorothy (Sherby) Benoit.
Robert was a former police officer for the town of Spencer and he then retired in 1991 from Sweet Life Corp., where he worked for many years in their distribution Center in Northborough. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31st from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adopt A Student Program, Diocese of Worcester, 49 Elm St., Worcester, MA 01609.
