MILLBURY – Robert F. Clair, 91, died Friday May 8th in Knollwood Nursing Center.
His wife, Nan M. (Bryant) Clair died in 1986. He leaves a son, Stephen Clair of Worcester; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, John J. Clair, Sr. and Edith (Lundgren) Clair, a son, John J. Clair, III and a daughter, Christine E. Damiano; brothers and sisters. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School.
He worked at the former Farber Corp. and then at Parker Metal Co., both in Worcester and Micro Corp. in Westborough. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. Robert also was an avid rower and past double crew rowing National Champion in 1941.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to the funeral service, in the funeral home. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
