OKINAWA, JAPAN Robert J. Corey, 65, of Okinawa, formerly of Millbury, MA, died Thursday, Dec 22nd in Brigham & WomanTM)s Hospital, Boston.
He leaves his wife, Kayoko Corey; two daughters, Tammy Corey and Ikumi Corey; three step-sons, Akira, Jun and Kei Taira; ten grandchildren among which are, Yuka, Kaiki, Yuzuki, Raiki and Miyu all of Japan; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy M. Couture of Millbury, MA; nine brothers, Kenneth F. Corey of Auburn, MA, Richard S. Corey of Northbridge, MA, Dennis G. Corey of Jacksonville, FL, Roger E. Corey of Tyngsboro, MA, David B. Corey of Cinncinatti, OH, Herbert J. Corey of Auburn, MA, Charles M. Corey of Worcester, Arthur M. Corey of Millbury, MA, and James J. Williams of FL; two step-brothers, step-brothers, Roland Couture of Millbury, MA and Robert Couture of Webster, MA. He is predeceased by his father, Stephen B. Corey and his mother, Dorothy B. (Tetreault) Corey, his step- mother, Beatrice L. (Allard) Couture Corey and a step-brother, Richard Couture. He was born in Worcester, MA.
Mr. Corey was a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force, after 26 years of service. He currently worked as a maintenance supervisor for the U.S. Marine Corp at Camp Courtney, in Okinawa, Japan.
A full military funeral and burial will be held in Okinawa, Japan. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St, Millbury, MA is assisting the family with local arrangements.
