Robert E. "Bob" Cote, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in the Millbury Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
He leaves his brother, Leo E. Cote Jr. of Millbury; his sister, Beverly Sullivan and her husband, Henry of Shrewsbury; one niece and two nephews. He was born in Millbury and is predeceased by his parents, Leo E. Cote Sr. and Anna G. (Betters) Cote and a brother, Richard C. Cote. He graduated from Millbury High School and Worcester Boys Trade School, Welding Department.
Robert worked at Bay State Abrasive Co. in Westborough before creating his own business with his brother Leo, Cote Brothers Welding in Sutton. He was in the US Army and the Army Reserve.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Central Mass Steam and Gas Association, the Straw Hollow Engine Works and the Antiques Race Car Association. He also enjoyed remolding antique Ford Cars. The family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers at the Millbury Health Care Center, Shrewsbury unit, for all their wonderful care while Bob was there.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14th in St. Philip's Church, 12 West St. in Grafton. Burial will be in St. Philip's Cemetery in Grafton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of the Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.
