Robert Dwinell

Robert B. Dwinell, 86, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 22nd at CareOne in Millbury, surrounded by his family.

Bob leaves behind his son Michael of Millbury, his daughter Maureen Daly and her husband Don of Millbury, his daughter Mary and her partner Mark Agerholm of Spencer, and his beloved grandchildren Jonathan and Evan Daly, sister Barbara O'Brien of Millbury, many nieces and nephews, and his close buddy Katy the cat. Bob is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (Cox), son Thomas, parents Charles P. and Sadie (Army) Dwinell, three brothers, Earl, Richard and Harold Dwinell, and three sisters, Hazel Weldon, Martha Bekier and Bernice Gaudere.

Bob worked for Mass Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1997. Upon retirement he was proud to deliver Meals on Wheels for the Millbury Council on Aging for well over 10 years. He was a United States Marine and a proud member of the Charles F. Minney V.F.W. Post 3329 and the Millbury Veterans Council.

After Bob's wife Kathleen passed, he enjoyed traveling the USA with his companion Gloria, he especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports, following all the Millbury High School sports teams, yearly trips to Hampton Beach, spending time with his family as well as sitting out in his yard with a good book.

His family wishes to thank the Compassionate Care Hospice Team and the staff in the Shrewsbury Unit of CareOne at Millbury for their compassionate, loving and professional care, at Bob's last place of residence.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 30th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29th in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury.
