MILLBURY- Robert J Fisher, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 23, 2021 at Advinia (Beaumont) Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Northbridge after a brief illness.
Robert’s wife, Lois M. (LeClaire) Fisher passed away in 2010. Bob leaves two children, Linda M Meriano and David L Fisher and his wife, Ginny all of Millbury. He leaves 5 grandchildren, Mark, Christina and Andrea Meriano, Stephanie Meals and Ashley Fisher. He was blessed with 5 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Luke, Talon, Haley and Kaleah. He leaves a sister, Patricia Wade, and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Millbury, the son of Joseph C. and Bernadette M. (Tessier) Fisher.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a brick mason for many years alongside his own father. He then worked at the Millbury Housing Authority for many years.
He loved his family, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, Red Sox and the Patriots, but he especially loved his many trips to Aruba with his wife.
Family and friends will remember and celebrate Bob’s life with a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 3rd from 9 to 10:30 at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His funeral mass will be held the same day at 11 a.m. in St Brigid’s Church, 59 N Main Street, Millbury. Burial with Military honors will follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
