SUTTON - Robert L Anderson, 68, passed away on Dec 2nd at home surrounded by family after a long illness. He was born in Worcester was raised in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Carole (Krysiak) Anderson, his daughter Jennifer (Anderson) McDowell of Woodstock, his son Travis R Anderson and his campanion, Caroline Wood of Grafton, two darling granddaughters, Kathleen and Samantha whom he adored, his brothers Richard Anderson and his wife Colleen, Raymond Anderson and his wife Connie, Russell Anderson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Catherine Irene (Bonzey) Anderson of Millbury.
He was a loving husband, father, Bupba and friend. All who knew him will remember his honesty, generosity and dry sense of humor. He was always willing to help others and donate his time to his favorite organizations. He found great pleasure in helping his children with their new homes, loved working on his classic cars, attending car shows, hiking and backpacking in the NH mountains, especially Mt. Monadnock, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing. He joined many historical societies enjoying the history and buildings of Massachusetts. He was a volunteer and on the board of directors at Waters Farm Preservation Society in Sutton MA

He worked for Traffic Control and Defalco & Son in Shrewsbury MA as a foreman on a crew and as mechanic, and for Racing Machine in Worcester building high performance automobiles.
Dearest Husband, you have climbed your highest mountain with such dignity and courage, we will miss you terribly. The Family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Milford, the VNA/VNA Hospice caregivers, and all the family and friends who were there to help during this difficult time, your caring and generosity were comforting to our family.
There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends at Waters Farm in Sutton, in the Darling Barn on December 12th beginning at 11am. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, any Donations may be made to the Waters Farm Preservation Society, in care of Sutton Town Hall, 4 Uxbridge Rd., Sutton, MA 01590, or to the VNA Care Network, Inc., Development Office 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608-1280, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
