BOLTON Robert A. Liljestrand, 74, of 600 Main St., died Sunday, June 26th in UMASS Memorial Hospital, Marlborough.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Virginia J. (Childs) Liljestrand; five children, Richard A. Liljestrand of Oxford, Bette-Ann Coy of Woodstock, N.H., Cheryl-Ann Williams of Northbridge, Robert A. Liljestrand of Ansonia, CT. and Philip A. Liljestrand of Grafton; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins. He was born in Shrewsbury, son of Aron E. and Esther (Fyrbeck) Liljestrand and lived in Shrewsbury most of his life, moving to Bolton 3 months ago. He is predeceased by a brother, Raymond Liljestrand and a sister, Mabel Borejszo, both of Shrewsbury.
Mr. Liljestrand was an oil burner technician for 35 years, before retiring due to a disability. He was a member of the Eagles and the New England Country Music Association. He loved Country Western music, birds, the outdoors, gardening, fishing the ocean, trips to Woodstock, N.H., with family and friends. He loved his cat, Lightening
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 30th from 6 to 9 p.m. at 600 Main St., Bolton Country Manor in Bolton, MA. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
