SUTTON- Robert R. Salvas, 75, of 335 West Sutton Rd., died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in the Soldier Home in Holyoke.
He leaves his wife, Margaret A. (Deeter) Salvas; three sons, Jon Salvas of Newport News, VA, Daniel R. Salvas of Sutton and Robert R. Salvas Jr. of Millbury; five grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Patrick, Marie and Brianna Salvas; a step-sister, Helen McGinn of Worcester; nephews and nieces. He was born in Woonsocket, RI and is predeceased by his father Ralph Salvas and his step-mother, Barbara (Wojck) Stafanic Salvas.
Robert was a supervisor at New England Power Service Co. where he worked for 33 years, retiring in 1993. He was an Army veteran during Korean War serving in the Army Medical Corp. He was a member of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton and a former member of the Singletary Rod & Gun Club.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., on the Common, Sutton. Burial will be Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16th in Mulhane Home for Funeral, 45 Main St., Millbury.
