Robert “Bob” Walter Tokarz, 75, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 2nd.
Bob was born in Ware, MA to the late Walter and Frances (Szumiel) Tokarz. He was a 1960 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Worcester. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and after his discharge he served in the Army National Guard for 13 years. He was a member of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post 414.
Bob had a passion for cooking which he turned into a lifelong career. He cooked for many restaurants throughout Florida, New York and Massachusetts. Bob’s Polish ancestry was very important to him, he was an avid fan of Polka music and traveled across the country to attend many Polish festivals. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and a member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club.
Bob is survived by his three children, Deborah Tokarz of Marstons Mills, Robert W. Tokarz, Jr. his wife, Trista of Marstons Mills and Dianne M. Ellis and her husband, Mark of Gray Gables, MA; six grandchildren; his companion, Rosalie LaFrance of Sutton. He is predeceased by his brother, Tom Tokarz.
Bob’s funeral service and burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. There are no calling hours.
