Robert R. Watkins

MILLBURY - Robert R. Watkins passed away peacefully on Monday September 9th, 2024, with his family by his side. 

He leaves his wife of 60 years Patricia Watkins, his son Todd Watkins, daughter in law Lisa Watkins, his daughter Jill Wicklund, son-in-law Matthew Wicklund along with three grandchildren Abigail Watkins, Cody Watkins and Gabrielle Daly, his sister Nancy Beaudry and niece Dawn Beaudry as well as many cousins.

Robert was a veteran paratrooper who served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne. He also had a career in cosmetology where he owned his own business for many years. But his passion and love were for hunting and Taxidermy, it was both his craft and legacy, and he was very successful at both. His business was located at his home in Millbury. He won numerous prizes, ribbons, awards, and certificates that celebrated his work. Robert was a man of great honor, faith and love for his family. 

A husband, father, grandfather, and friend he was a man who left his mark wherever he went. He will be missed by many. 

Family and friends will remember and celebrate Robert’s life by gathering for his Funeral Mass on Friday, Sept. 20th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. 

Following the service the family invites you to join them for a reception at J. Anthony’s Italian Grill, 917 Southbridge Street, Auburn.
