MILLBURY - Roger (Butch) Grenier, 64, of Millbury died unexpectedly Friday Sept 16, 2011 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his wife and best friend Carol A. Grenier; son Scott Grenier of Webster; daughter Susan and her husband Ed Paradis of West Boylston; stepdaughters Diane and her husband Mark Dadah of Holden; and Darlene Deeter of Millbury. Roger was loved by his eight grandchildren, Evan, Trevor, Zachary, Benjamin, Shelby, Brandon, Lacey, and Aubrey who will sadly miss their beloved Papa, Papa Roger, Papa HoHo. He also leaves his mother Helen Grenier; four brothers Robert, Richard, Ronald and Raymond; one sister Debra Martin, three aunts, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Donat R. Grenier.
Roger was raised in Millbury, and recently retired from Agri-Mark after 25 years of service, before that he was employed by IBA, Inc. Prior to retirement Roger loved living in Spencer with Carol at their lakeside home. He enjoyed many years there and derived great joy boating, fishing, teaching everyone how to water-ski and hosting many get togethers. Roger had the gift to gab and could keep you captivated for hours. He loved to tell tall tales and enjoyed pulling your leg. Whenever you spent time with Roger you knew you could count on coming away with a smile. Roger looked forward to attending his grandchildrenTM)s many activities and sporting events throughout the seasons. A great way to remember Roger would be donate to your local youth sporting organization.
RogerTM)s calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21st at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
